Crosslake Community School is a K-8 public charter school. Our 116 (students - FY2009) to 17 (adults with daily student contact) ratio is part of our Vision, "small class sizes, and a safe, nurturing environment."

Mission Statement:
Crosslake Community School is a community based, multi-aged environment utilizing community resources and differentiated instruction to develop citizenship and life-long learning.

Vision:
Through a parent, teacher, community, and student partnership, we will facilitate: interpersonal skills, growth in all academic areas, and an appreciation of the local community and it's resources. Increased learning opportunities will be accomplished with small class sizes, personal learning plans, and a safe, nurturing environment.

The Crosslake Community School is located in the beautiful lakes area in Crosslake, MN. It started in the fall of 2000 with 39 students.

Dr. Charles Speiker, an education finance specialist with the Minnesota Department of Education, presented Director Tami Martin and Board Chair Harlan Young with a 2008 School Finance Award on Jan 19th, 2009.
