I am originally from Brooklyn Center born and raised. Graduated from BCHS and attended University of Wisconsin - LaCrosse. I graduated from UW-L with an Exercise Sports Science Degree in Physical Education Teaching with a minor in Adaptive Physical Education.
I moved to Crosslake and stated at CCS in 2012. I have enjoyed my new community and jumped right into things at the school. I am the spelling bee coordinator, PTO Co-President, School Board Chair and much more.
National PE Standards
SHAPE America's National Standards & Grade-Level Outcomes for K-12 Physical Education define what a student should know and be able to do as result of a highly effective physical education program. States and local school districts across the country use the National Standards to develop or revise existing standards, frameworks and curricula.
Standard 1 - The physically literate individual demonstrates competency in a variety of motor skills and movement patterns.
Standard 2 - The physically literate individual applies knowledge of concepts, principles, strategies and tactics related to movement and performance.
Standard 3 - The physically literate individual demonstrates the knowledge and skills to achieve and maintain a health-enhancing level of physical activity and fitness.
Standard 4 - The physically literate individual exhibits responsible personal and social behavior that respects self and others.
Standard 5 - The physically literate individual recognizes the value of physical activity for health, enjoyment, challenge, self-expression and/or social interaction.

Health Education Standards
The NHES are written expectations for what students should know and be able to do by grades 2, 5, 8, and 12 to promote personal, family, and community health. The standards provide a framework for curriculum development and selection, instruction, and student assessment in health education.
Students will comprehend concepts related to health promotion and disease prevention to enhance health.
Students will analyze the influence of family, peers, culture, media, technology, and other factors on health behaviors.
Students will demonstrate the ability to access valid information, products, and services to enhance health.
