Who we were; who we are
Crosslake Community Charter School expanded from its original kindergarten - 8th grade seat-based model to include 9-12th grade students in August 2014 at the request of former and current families. In order to meet the needs of potential students, the board of education decided to offer an online model with a supportive learning lab in order to give students the flexibility they may need in order to pursue personal activities as well as completing the required courses to receive their high school diploma. While students need to be motivated, hard-working, and dedicated to the online model, the adults surround them with encouragement, academic assistance, and support in an effort to ensure that no student falls through the cracks. Due to the success of our online program, we now offer online courses to students grades kindergarten-12, can serve students as full-time or part-time (supplemental) from the entire state of Minnesota, and accept students until the school year of their 21st birthday. High school graduation occurs each year at the end of the school year.
The seat-based program now offers a fee-based prekindergarten program in addition to its tuition-free kindergarten-8th grade program.
