Admission information for K-12 online
Who can attend?
Because Crosslake Community School's online K-12 program is a public charter school, any Minnesota student in grades K-12 can attend free of charge. This includes students whose graduation dates have passed as they are eligible for a free, public education in Minnesota until the school year of their 21st birthday.
Students from out of state, homeschooled students, private school students, or those over the age of 21 are welcome to attend but are not eligible to do so free of charge. To discuss our tuition option, please contact us at via email: hsadmissions@crosslakekids.org.
Are online classes for me?
It is hard to say if online courses are for you until you enroll and give them a try. However, there is a simple quiz at the MN State CAREERwise Education site that can help you to decide. The higher your score, the more likely you are to be successful in online learning.
Full-time enrollment
Enroll in the full-time/comprehensive program and pursue your high school diploma by taking 100% of your coursework online. The learning lab is available for students who live nearby, but there are no requirements for physical attendance at school except for required state testing days (alternative test sites for required state testing can be discussed). Several students work from home often or 100% of the week while many others come to the learning lab. To enroll full-time, begin the process by filling out the initial admission form.
Part-time enrollment
Enroll in the part-time/supplemental program and take one, a few, or all of your classes while staying enrolled at your school. Students in this option are welcome to join us in the learning lab if they desire to do so, but they remain enrolled at their school and attend their other classes there. There are no required testing days or other required attendance under this option. To enroll part-time, contact the admission office at hsadmissions@crosslakekids.org.
