#2: Confirm Your Student’s Immunizations Are Current

Minnesota law requires children enrolled in child care, early childhood education, or school to receive certain immunizations unless an exemption applies. Please review your child’s immunization record through MyChart or with their healthcare provider to confirm all required vaccinations are current.

#3: Determine Your Student’s Transportation Plan

Decide how your student will travel to and from school, whether by bus, parent/guardian drop-off and pick-up, or another arrangement. Bus route information will be available shortly before the start of the school year.

#4: Add Money to Lunch Accounts (Optional)
In Minnesota, Universal Free School Meals is the law. All public schools provide free breakfast and lunch meals to all Minnesota students.

#5: Register for Before- and After-School Care

Before- and after-school care may be available for students, along with programming on select non-school days and during the summer. Review available options and register as needed.

#6: Get Involved in a Sport or Activity

We encourage every student to get involved in a sport, club or activity that matches their interests. Explore available opportunities and [register online].

#7: Back-to-School Open Houses
Back-to-School open houses give your child a chance to meet their teachers and check out their new classroom.

Supply lists are available 24/7 from any device—even on your smartphone while you're out at the store.

  • KIDS Care is offered each day before school from 7 a.m.to 8 a.m up to grade 5. After-school KIDS care is offered from 3:10 p.m to 5:45p.m.. The cost is  $30 for registration, before-school care is $3 daily, after-school care is $7, and drop-in fees not on a regular schedule are $10 daily.

    KIDS care is staffed by school personnel striving to provide safe, quality time for students who need care before and after the school day. KIDS care follows a less rigid schedule than the school day but school expectations are still enforced. Students are not allowed to show disruptive behavior, disrespect to adults or the school or any unsafe behavior. Students choosing to not follow the rules will have a meeting with the staff, a meeting with the director Principal, a meeting with the directorPrincipal  and parents/guardians, and then possible dismissal from the program.
