Operation Sandwich Provides Meal Support During MEA Break

CCS is helping connect students and community members with Operation Sandwich, a program of Bridges of Hope that provides food support during school breaks and other times when school meals are not available.

For the upcoming MEA Break, Operation Sandwich is offering lunch packs that include items such as peanut butter, jelly, bread, fresh produce, snacks and canned goods. Pick-up locations will be available in Brainerd, Crosslake, Nisswa and Pine River. Registration is required and must be completed by Monday, October 5.

MEA Break Pick-Up Information

  • Brainerd: Monday, October 12
  • Crosslake, Nisswa and Pine River: Tuesday, October 13
    • Crosslake Community School pick-up: Tuesday, October 13, from 3-3:30pm
Operation Sandwich is a Bridges of Hope program designed to help provide children with access to food when school is not in session. The program serves communities throughout the Brainerd Lakes Area. Bridges of Hope works with local partners and distribution sites to make meal support available in communities across the region. CCS is proud to serve as a local pick-up location and help share this resource with those who may benefit.
