Crosslake Community Schools provides a learning and working environment free from discrimination on the basis of sex. In accordance with Title IX and other applicable laws, our district prohibits sex discrimination, including sexual harassment, in all education programs and activities, including in admissions and employment.
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is a federal civil rights law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs and activities that receive federal financial assistance. Title IX protections apply to students, employees, applicants and others participating in or seeking access to district programs and activities. Sex discrimination may include sexual harassment and other conduct prohibited under Title IX. Crosslake Community Schools takes reports of possible sex discrimination seriously and provides processes for individuals to raise concerns, report conduct or file a complaint. The district also prohibits retaliation against individuals who report discrimination, participate in a Title IX process or exercise rights protected under Title IX.
Crosslake Community Schools has designated a Title IX Coordinator to oversee the district’s compliance with Title IX, respond to questions and concerns, and provide information about available reporting and grievance procedures. Questions regarding Title IX may be directed to the district’s Title IX Coordinator or to the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights.
